Summary of Results
The Florida Public Officials Design Institute convened
on November 6th & 7th, 2003. In addition to the
Public Officials listed above, eight design
experts volunteered their collective talents in
the 10-hour problem-solving session that provided recommendations
for the complex issues brought to the Design Institute
by the public officials. These included West Palm Beach's
development of an intermodal transit facility and a
30 acre adjacent site with potential for transit oriented
development and workforce housing; Port St. Lucie's
42 square miles of development and annexation issues;
and, Wilton Manors' desire for a long-term vision in
the creation of a master plan and relocation of their
city hall.
